Unfortunately as with all MP games you will get people who don't care and just want to ruin the game, but there are plenty of servers and there is the handy vote kick option. Most people will likely already have computers and internet connections that can host for 8 players fine via the game. There are plenty of dedicated servers with appropriate bandwidth that will give you a smooth 8 player online game though.
